"A dream comes through a multitude of business…" Ecclesiastes 5:3 The source of everything that's in existence was once an idea. Joel 2 tells us that God gets His ideas into the earth through dreams and visions. One purpose of this process is to provide us with the tangible activities that we are to engage in order to manifest His Kingdom. And for many people those ideas can be turned into Kingdom businesses that help fulfill your purpose and fund God's work.
So why don't we see more Christians having major success in business? The challenge for a large percentage of them is they are unaware of an effective process or strategy to transform a God-idea into an enterprise. Too many give excuses as to why the idea won't work, allowing it to lay dormant and it never produces fruit in their lives. For others, failed attempts lead to frustration and feelings that the idea maybe "wasn't meant to be." It seems like only a precious few are able to transform their ideas into profitable ventures. The truth is if God is releasing ideas into the world through dreams and visions, He intends His ideas to yield results that benefit you and others. God doesn't do "trial and error." He always produces a positive return on His investments (Isaiah 55). The question is will you be the one that produces the harvest or shall God look for another? That's why I'm so excited to announce that my highly anticipated forthcoming book, Inc. My Dream: A God Inspired Process to Turn Your BIG Idea Into A Dream Business, will walk you through the process of getting an idea from God and building a business strategy around it so it can become profitable and sustainable. James 1 tells us that we shouldn't be hearers of the Word without doing it. Likewise, we shouldn't be dreamers with big ideas who never follow through on implementing the ideas that God gives us. He is providing us an opportunity to be stewards of His ideas in the earth. If you're ready to take up that challenge, I'm ready to help you. Just go to www.incmydream.com to learn more about this unique and dynamic resource that will help you make the successful transition from dreaming about business to doing it! Although, these aspects are critical to a holy human life, they are not the only qualities of Christ's mind that were meant to benefit us here on the earth. Remember, this is the same mind that created this world and the entire universe, this mind was the conduit for amazing miracles, and this mind also provides a window into a glorious future. If you are an entrepreneur, it is especially important that you rethink your perspective on the practical possibilities of this amazing spiritual asset. Here are just a few examples of how God turns spiritual insights into practical activities:
One way to engage the mind of Christ for your business is to regularly go into worship seeking instructions, not with a list of requests. Christian entrepreneurs should always approach God asking what do you want me to the in the marketplace vs. approaching Him with our plan and asking Him to bless something He may not have initiated or may not be best for you. RELATED: The Significance of Your Business as Ministry Of course when you do ask God for something related to your business, make sure you're not asking amiss (James 4:3). Come into agreement with His word by asking for things you know He already wants to gives you, such as wisdom (James 1) and insights to witty inventions (Proverbs 8:12). Also, during each day make it a habit to ask the Holy Spirit, "what should I do in this situation?" He loves it when you invite Him into every area of your decision making. Proverbs 3 tells us that we should acknowledge Him in all of our ways. Some major benefits of this include receiving clarity of direction, bodily health and increased resources. As Christians, God doesn't provide us spiritual tools and assets with only abstract ways to engage with them. He desires and expects that we utilize our spiritual gifts in natural ways to get tangible results. How do you engage the mind of Christ in your business? Leave your comments below... Last week I started teaching an 8-week bible study for entrepreneurs and business leaders through Kingdom Business University with the theme "Kings, Priests, and Profits." The purpose of this Bible study is to equip Christian marketplace leaders with the spiritual and practical tools to execute God's plan for their business profitably and sustainably. Our focus over the first few weeks is God initial interactions with Solomon. In 2 Chronicles 1 God sets forth a pattern with Solomon that Christian business leaders can glean from in terms of how we are to incorporate God into our work lives: 1) Worship (2 Chronicles 1:1-10), 2) Wisdom (2 Chronicles 1:11-13), and 3) Wealth (2 Chronicles 1:14-17). Worship is critical to this process because it’s an opportunity for Him through His Spirit to send thoughts to human minds that must turn invisible ideas into visible manifestations. For Christian entrepreneurs this is an opportunity to create streams of revenues through a business that honors God and creates value in the earth. Incorporating worship into your business as a best practice allows at least 4 key benefits...

Pastor Godbee has a passion for praise and worship with a ministry style that saturates the soul. His operation in the five-fold ministry gifts will cause lives to be radically changed, transformed and renewed. During his time of humble service and ministry, Pastor Godbee was appointed by his spiritual father, Presiding Prelate Bishop Edgar Vann, II to serve as General Overseer on the Executive Council of the Kingdom Alliance Covenant Fellowship. His ministry moments have been highlighted in many forms of Christian media. He is noted for his revelatory wisdom and knowledge that he willingly shares in sermons and mentoring relationships with people from all walks of life. It's that time again for the release of Brotha Magazine's latest issue, which includes my column "Kingdom Business." In this issue the title of my column is "Your Harvest is Ready", which describes our need as Christians to recognize how to take advantage of the great opportunities to prosper that are already right in front of us. I share some powerful insights that will help you identify what's already in your hand that God wants to use to bring abundance into your life. Here is a short excerpt... The reason many Christians struggle so much in the area of money is because they do not recognize how the Kingdom of God operates. Further they do not understand what they have already been given as royal family members. They mistakenly believe the abundant life Jesus promised in John 10:10 is only to be realized after we get to heaven. Therefore they go through continuous discouraging patterns of just getting by and barely having enough, somehow believing that this is God’s will for their lives. Enough is enough! It is time for us to be renewed and transformed in our thinking about money! Of course you wouldn't. And God doesn't treat us like that either.

"A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls." ~ Proverbs 25:28 "Pursue your passions!" This is a statement that you will hear from nearly all motivators, pastors, parents, teachers, advisers, mentors, and others preach to people almost daily, as if that’s the magic formula to lifelong happiness and success. Unfortunately, they don’t always tell you that “pursue your passions” is only part of the equation. As important as it is to pursue your passions, it’s equally important to make sure you steer your passions in the right direction. If passion can be equated to a raging river, purpose is the river banks. Knowing your purpose provides direction and restraint for your passions. Purpose helps to control and contain your vigor and energy. Purpose channels your passions toward meaningful and fruitful ends. Purpose is the discipline that guides your zeal to produce profitable endeavors. Purpose ensures that you have the opportunity to maximize the potential of what your passions can accomplish. Whether in business, relationships, or life in general, people run into all kinds of trouble when they don’t know how or aren’t able to channel their passions in a positive and profitable direction. These people are like swamps. One big difference between a river and a swamp is that the river has boundaries, which keeps the water flowing as a powerful force. The swamp’s lack of boundaries allows its water to overflow its banks, become stagnant, and emit a foul stench. People love rivers, but very few actually enjoy being near a swamp. (MORE: Learn more about Passion @ Work Training Workshops) In the last few years, it’s easy to see that we have had many “swamp creatures” appear in boardrooms, pulpits, the public square, and society overall. They allowed their passions to run rampant, ruining their reputations and causing major collateral damage. When it comes to your passions, don’t be like a swamp. Instead be like a river that’s purposeful, powerful, and profitable! How do you channel your passions in the most profitable direction? Leave your comments below... (MORE: Watch Passion In Action TV live streaming or on demand at www.passioninaction.tv) **************************************** Leadership Development ResourcesTwo of the most debated topics in the business world when it comes to are people born with innate abilities or are they developed involve leadership and entrepreneurship. It's very interesting because these two areas are joined at the hip, because successful entrepreneurs must be good leaders. Well, the truth is in both areas although learning can happen in a classroom, leadership and entrepreneurship expertise is more caught than taught. To this point Forbes magazine has a great article online, 9 Entrepreneur Lessons Not Taught in the Classroom, which focuses on leadership principles that entrepreneurs need to learn and apply in order to grow a thriving business. This article was inspired by the new leadership book from Robert S. Murray, "It's All Inside." He believes anyone can nurture their innate leadership abilities, to achieve business and life success. The key is learning from others' life lessons, which seldom happens in structured educational environments. "World-class entrepreneurship will never be learned totally in the classroom. It takes hard work, lots of practice, and lots of mistakes. It takes focus to become both a student and a teacher of leadership. You will soon be amazed by how things start to fall into place, despite what you don’t know. That’s the innate leadership coming out. Enjoy it." - Martin Zwilling "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." ~ John 14:26 It's interesting how Christians sometimes leave God out of the practical aspects of their business. The truth is God is just as concerned about your business as He is about all the other aspects of your life. One reason is because He can use your business as a platform for ministry, discipleship, and evangelism. Therefore, He wants to give you unique strategies to attract customers with great products and services, so that as your light shines brightly through business transactions, networking, and other transactions, they will see your great work and glorify God (Matthew 5:16).
Those strategies will often come straight from the Word of God. This is one of the things that's so incredible about the Bible. It's the VERY BEST resource for Christian entrepreneurs (and the Holy Spirit is your strategic competitive advantage in the marketplace). This ancient book of generationally transcendent wisdom is very applicable for 21st century business owners. Even when we evaluate what would be considered business best practices, I guarantee you that the core principle can be found in the Word of God. His wisdom is without boundaries! We have come through the Middle Ages, Industrial Age, Technology Age, Information Age, and now I believe we are in the Entrepreneurial Age. Fortunately, the Bible is applicable across all ages, cultures, and business industries. And the Bible provides insights and principles to all the core essentials of successful businesses, including strategic planning, human resource management, communications, financial management, customer service, leadership development, marketing, innovation, and more. So don't leave the Bible out of your business. Acknowledge God in all your ways, including all your business decisions, and He will guide you on profitable paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 48:17). In fact if you are struggling with how to apply Biblical principles within your business operations we have an incredible opportunity for you coming next week, January 18-19. Dual Domination Business Boot Camp will provide you with spiritual and practical tools to building a thriving business and advance the Kingdom of God.
