If you are waiting for a financial breakthrough from God and the only thing you can think of is what you're going to do for yourself, that could be the delay in your breakthrough coming. You are blessed to be a blessing and if the only thing you want to do with your blessing is consume it upon yourself you have missed the purpose for which God provides financial resources. He gave you the power to get wealth to help implement and execute HIS PLANS for humanity. He is the divine warehouse and you are an earthly distribution center. However, if you only see yourself as a bucket and not also as a pipeline, you will never be fulfilled and always be looking for more than God (or others) should be doing for you.
You may be waiting on your breakthrough, but the flip side is that your breakthrough could be waiting on you. Here's a few questions to ask yourself as you wait:
Are you a blessing bottleneck? We Christians must become more intentional about switching our focus from being blessing consumers to distributors. The truth of Matthew 6:33 has to become an unshakable reality that we live by. God wants to flow through you, and He will do it while taking care of you and your needs. As we move further into 2014, God is going to invite you into profitable opportunities that are connected with helping other people. However, if you have a selfish perspective or are wrestling with fear/anxiety you will miss these opportunities because you will be blinded by the money. Don't be blinded by your own needs. Allow God to be God and trust Him to supply your provision as you submit to His plans. What are your thoughts? Leave your comments below... "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 You should be tired of playing it safe and seeing others accomplish great things. You should be done with standing on the sidelines cheering for others while inside you know you should be out there playing too. You should be finished with pushing others to the front while standing in their shadows neglecting your God-given talents, ideas, and solutions. "God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us." ~ Ephesians 3:20 (MSG) This is your season to live fearlessly. It's your season to step out in faith and into your dream. This is your season where scriptures becomes more than words, they come to life! Fearless does not mean reckless. It means that you are going to obey God like never before, trust God like never before, and live like never before! Check out this excerpt from my book Dream B.I.G in 3D: How to Pursue a Bold, Innovative, God-Inspired Life… "We were created in our Father’s image, so we should not shy away from being courageously bold, extraordinarily spectacular, amazingly awe-inspiring, and innovatively brilliant as we reflect His marvelous power and glory in the earth… God desires to show His greatness to the world through the thriving lives of His children. So, you actually do the world a disservice when you dismiss or discount the creative application of your talents, abilities, and ideas." If you're going to live fearlessly in 2014, you need to change W.A.T. you do everyday. What is "W.A.T."? It's your words, actions, and thoughts. Your daily habits connected to the thoughts you think, words you speak, and actions you do will determine your direction and destiny in life. It's imperative that you make conscious choices about W.A.T. you do everyday. Your thoughts, words, and actions should be godly, positive, focused, intentional, and directly connected to the dreams, plans, and goals that God has for you. "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." ~ 1 John 4:18 Fearless living is not just for daredevils or risk takers. It's for every person who recognizes they are passionately and unconditionally loved by God and that love compels them to live in a way that is exceedingly and abundantly far beyond all they can ask, think, or imagine. On the other side of the captivity of fear is a life of amazement and wonder that cannot even be dreamed. "When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream." ~ Psalm 126:1 God is waiting on you to live fearlessly. And so is the world. Are you ready? Let's go!
What fear have you overcome for this year? Leave your comments below... Your IDENTITY is connected to your PROSPERITY in the Kingdom of God. How much you receive in 2014 in accordance with God's purpose and plans for you is directly connected to the question that you must answer, which is "to be or not to be?" Will you accept that you are God's beloved child with special privileges and authority or will you believe the enemy's lies and keep striving toward something that God already says you are? It's time to stop living below who God says you are and accept your identity as a Kingdom citizen. Here's a short list of some of your identity qualities and characteristics…
Your Kingdom success in 2014 is not going to be based on what you make happen. It's going to be based on you accepting and receiving what has already happened through Jesus Christ. "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…" ~ Zechariah 4:10 "Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit." ~ Ecclesiastes 7:8 A lowly feeding trough in a rinky-dink motel in a small dusty town and a killer king looking for you. Doesn't sound like the place or environment where a world-changer would be birthed. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the perfect example for you to model that it doesn't matter how you started when compared to how you end. He had the deck stacked against him in just about every way when he was born - socially, economically, and politically. Yet God had already prepared for him to prosper long before he arrived on the planet, so it didn't matter where Jesus was born or the circumstances into which he was born. Slow sales. Low number of web hits. Revenue goals far below your expectations. Seemingly falling further and further behind your competitors. Doesn't sound like the situation from which a successful, prosperous Kingdom-building entrepreneur would be birthed. Nevertheless, according to Psalm 139:13-18, God already planned for you to prosper just like He planned for Jesus to prosper. So it doesn't matter what your life situations look like now. It also doesn't matter what you have or haven't accomplished yet in your business or what went right or wrong in 2013. Just embrace that you are inside of God's perfect plan. What matters most is your perspective, as in looking from where you are instead of at where you are. You must refocus your faith on where God is taking you, instead of all the challenges that are facing you. Remember the greatest story ever told didn't end in a manger, it only began there. In the world of Christian entrepreneurship it often seems like there is a huge supply of ideas but a lack of wisdom, i.e. implementation with fruitfulness. I say this on the basis of I see a lot of trial and error and not a lot of surety of implementing what we hear from God. However the word of God tells us in James 1 that He gives wisdom liberally to those who ask for it. Jesus was always in the right place at the right time doing the right things primarily because he spent so much time with God. He even said I only do what my father shows me (John 5:19). After all Jesus did say we would be greater works than he did (John 14:12) Maybe if we as Christian entrepreneurs spent more time on our faces vs on Facebook then we would receive more direct revelation from God that would be applicable to our businesses. I'm not bashing social media (I use it a lot), but what I'm saying is that if everyday we're waiting on Facebook or TV or the Internet or any other source rather than God for instruction and direction then we will continue on the path of trial and error and take longer to get to the promise land where God has already prepared for us and our businesses to succeed. Now of course God can use any source to get wisdom to us, however His primary desire is that we will connect with Him more one-to-one. Proportional accuracy is the correlation between how much time we spend with God and how accurate we are in our decision-making. This is not a measure of a specific ratio or any other type of mathematical formula but is more of a spiritual indicator that is applied through self-evaluation to understand and recognize the opportunity to get more things right and fewer things wrong. If Jesus was truly leading your business as the CEO I'm sure the very first question he would ask is am I even supposed to be in this business? Follow up questions would include am I doing what God said to do to make this business profitable and sustainable or am I following the crowd and just doing whatever everyone else has said to do to be successful? I'm sure there are plenty more he would ask but this us a good start for you to help determine if you're headed in the right direction and functioning optimally. The rest of the questions you can ask as you spend more quality time with him. Enjoy the journey! How do you think Jesus would lead your business differently than you? Leave your comments below... By now most people are familiar with Duck Dynasty and the Robertsons, who built a multi-million dollar sporting empire manufacturing duck calls in Monroe, Louisiana and according to A&E TV "have earned a seat in homes across the country with their special brand of downhome practicality, southern charm and sharp sense of humor." To me the best thing about this family is their opportunity to share Jesus with the world on a weekly basis. The video below, featuring the patriarch of the family Phil Robertson, is a powerful example of how a life can be eternally changed that initiated from a simple business transaction. This Christian entrepreneur is having a Kingdom impact on their customers and others. Many Christian entrepreneurs don't think they're qualified to preach because they don't stand in a pulpit on Sundays, but don't realize God has already given them a platform to shine from Monday through Friday in their business. If you want to have a great impact in the world, start right where you are and watch God work through you while you're at work! How do you use your business as a platform to represent Jesus? Her son, Jordan Davis, and his friends had stopped at a gas station in Jacksonville, Florida, after having finished shopping on Black Friday. What occurred next is unconscionable. Police say the man parked next to them, 45-year-old Michael Dunn, got into a confrontation with them over loud music coming from their car and opened fire, hitting Jordan several times. Investigators say the teens had no weapons. Dunn claims he was threatened and is attempting to use Florida's controversial "Stand Your Ground" law as the basis of his defense. Join us Thursday night, December 5th, for a very special episode of Passion in Action TV as I have the privilege of speaking with Ms. McBath about her son and her efforts since his tragic death to get "Stand Your Ground" laws overturned in this country. Log on at www.passioninaction.tv at 7 PM est. The following post was written by my friend George Ansong, a Christian entrepreneur, real estate consultant, instructor, and coach. I was blessed by it and I'm sure you will be to... I believe that entrepreneurship is a journey of faith. The entrepreneur is able to look into the future and bring into existence those things that he sees in his mind's eye. The faith it takes to bring that into existence is divine inspired. It is God breathed whether the entrepreneur believes in God or not. I also believe that God's covenant of blessing is what motivates entrepreneurs to come up with revolutionary ideas, concepts, products, technological and medical breakthroughs that have catapulted mankind to the apogee of human civilization. It is advisable, therefore, as an entrepreneur to understand the basic universal law that, God the creator of the universe, has put in place to help nurture, grow and expand our various enterprises and ventures. Here are the Ten Universal Laws that I believe shape the entrepreneur's future and experiences.
What are your thoughts on the entrepreneurial laws? Please type your comments below... Do you realize that having the mind of Christ is more than helping us think pure thoughts and make the right decisions? Although, these aspects are critical to a holy human life, they are not the only qualities of Christ's mind that were meant to benefit us here on the earth. Remember, this is the same mind that created this world and the entire universe, this mind was the conduit for amazing miracles, and this mind also provides a window into a glorious future. If you are an entrepreneur, it is especially important that you rethink your perspective on the practical possibilities of this amazing spiritual asset. Here are just a few examples of how God turns spiritual insights into practical activities:
One way to engage the mind of Christ for your business is to regularly go into worship seeking instructions, not with a list of requests. Christian entrepreneurs should always approach God asking what do you want me to the in the marketplace vs. approaching Him with our plan and asking Him to bless something He may not have initiated or may not be best for you. RELATED: The Significance of Your Business as Ministry Of course when you do ask God for something related to your business, make sure you're not asking amiss (James 4:3). Come into agreement with His word by asking for things you know He already wants to gives you, such as wisdom (James 1) and insights to witty inventions (Proverbs 8:12). Also, during each day make it a habit to ask the Holy Spirit, "what should I do in this situation?" He loves it when you invite Him into every area of your decision making. Proverbs 3 tells us that we should acknowledge Him in all of our ways. Some major benefits of this include receiving clarity of direction, bodily health and increased resources. As Christians, God doesn't provide us spiritual tools and assets with only abstract ways to engage with them. He desires and expects that we utilize our spiritual gifts in natural ways to get tangible results. How do you engage the mind of Christ in your business? Leave your comments below... |
