“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” ~ 1 Peter 2:9
Do you know who you really are in Christ? Do you realize the true authority and power that you have? There is more to you than you realize as an entrepreneur or business leader. God has more for you to do for His Kingdom than just grow your business. Here is a short excerpt from the article I wrote for the current issue of Brotha Magazine, Kings and Priests in Business:
"So, how does this royal priesthood relate to business? How do entrepreneurs and business leaders live out their priestly royalty in the marketplace? From God’s perspective there is no longer a sacred versus secular divide. When you are in God’s family all that you do is to be considered sacred, whether you work in the kingdom as a pastor, CEO, teacher, lawyer, engineer, janitor, etc.
As we continue to move forward in history, Christians in the marketplace are going to play an even greater role in the advancement of God’s kingdom than they have in the past. Did you know that 97% of Christians work in the secular world, not the church? Now join this truth with the fact that you will spend more time with the people you work with than a pastor ever will. Hopefully you can see that although you are operating in a secular environment, you have the opportunity to do something sacred every day while you are working. It is called evangelism and discipleship."
