"A dream comes through a multitude of business…" Ecclesiastes 5:3 The source of everything that's in existence was once an idea. Joel 2 tells us that God gets His ideas into the earth through dreams and visions. One purpose of this process is to provide us with the tangible activities that we are to engage in order to manifest His Kingdom. And for many people those ideas can be turned into Kingdom businesses that help fulfill your purpose and fund God's work.
So why don't we see more Christians having major success in business? The challenge for a large percentage of them is they are unaware of an effective process or strategy to transform a God-idea into an enterprise. Too many give excuses as to why the idea won't work, allowing it to lay dormant and it never produces fruit in their lives. For others, failed attempts lead to frustration and feelings that the idea maybe "wasn't meant to be." It seems like only a precious few are able to transform their ideas into profitable ventures. The truth is if God is releasing ideas into the world through dreams and visions, He intends His ideas to yield results that benefit you and others. God doesn't do "trial and error." He always produces a positive return on His investments (Isaiah 55). The question is will you be the one that produces the harvest or shall God look for another? That's why I'm so excited to announce that my highly anticipated forthcoming book, Inc. My Dream: A God Inspired Process to Turn Your BIG Idea Into A Dream Business, will walk you through the process of getting an idea from God and building a business strategy around it so it can become profitable and sustainable. James 1 tells us that we shouldn't be hearers of the Word without doing it. Likewise, we shouldn't be dreamers with big ideas who never follow through on implementing the ideas that God gives us. He is providing us an opportunity to be stewards of His ideas in the earth. If you're ready to take up that challenge, I'm ready to help you. Leave your comments below... Do you realize that having the mind of Christ is more than helping us think pure thoughts and make the right decisions? Although, these aspects are critical to a holy human life, they are not the only qualities of Christ's mind that were meant to benefit us here on the earth. Remember, this is the same mind that created this world and the entire universe, this mind was the conduit for amazing miracles, and this mind also provides a window into a glorious future. If you are an entrepreneur, it is especially important that you rethink your perspective on the practical possibilities of this amazing spiritual asset. Here are just a few examples of how God turns spiritual insights into practical activities:
One way to engage the mind of Christ for your business is to regularly go into worship seeking instructions, not with a list of requests. Christian entrepreneurs should always approach God asking what do you want me to the in the marketplace vs. approaching Him with our plan and asking Him to bless something He may not have initiated or may not be best for you. RELATED: The Significance of Your Business as Ministry Of course when you do ask God for something related to your business, make sure you're not asking amiss (James 4:3). Come into agreement with His word by asking for things you know He already wants to gives you, such as wisdom (James 1) and insights to witty inventions (Proverbs 8:12). Also, during each day make it a habit to ask the Holy Spirit, "what should I do in this situation?" He loves it when you invite Him into every area of your decision making. Proverbs 3 tells us that we should acknowledge Him in all of our ways. Some major benefits of this include receiving clarity of direction, bodily health and increased resources. As Christians, God doesn't provide us spiritual tools and assets with only abstract ways to engage with them. He desires and expects that we utilize our spiritual gifts in natural ways to get tangible results. How do you engage the mind of Christ in your business? Leave your comments below... Last week I started teaching an 8-week bible study for entrepreneurs and business leaders through Kingdom Business University with the theme "Kings, Priests, and Profits." The purpose of this Bible study is to equip Christian marketplace leaders with the spiritual and practical tools to execute God's plan for their business profitably and sustainably. Our focus over the first few weeks is God initial interactions with Solomon. In 2 Chronicles 1 God sets forth a pattern with Solomon that Christian business leaders can glean from in terms of how we are to incorporate God into our work lives: 1) Worship (2 Chronicles 1:1-10), 2) Wisdom (2 Chronicles 1:11-13), and 3) Wealth (2 Chronicles 1:14-17). Worship is critical to this process because it’s an opportunity for Him through His Spirit to send thoughts to human minds that must turn invisible ideas into visible manifestations. For Christian entrepreneurs this is an opportunity to create streams of revenues through a business that honors God and creates value in the earth. Incorporating worship into your business as a best practice allows at least 4 key benefits...

Learn more about how Paul and how he achieved success as a godly millionaire this Thursday, August 1st, live streaming at 7 PM ET only at www.passioninaction.tv. You can watch on your computer or any mobile device. See you Thursday! Everything that God planned for us to do in the earth, He desires for us to be successful in doing it. That's why the Bible includes the blueprint for success for every single person, no matter what their individual purpose. This includes entrepreneurs and other businesspeople. Following what God said in Joshua 1:8, here are 7 principles that you can apply to your business that will guarantee success in God's eyes even if you don't look successful from society's perspective. As an aside, the only reason these principles would be considered "secrets" to you is if you don't read your Bible... 1) Prayer - Everything significant that happens in the Kingdom of God is preceded by prayer and sustained by prayer. Further, your business is an answer to someone's prayer. So pray and get God's wisdom on what you should do and how you should do it.
2) Purpose - I agree with my friend Antonina Greer who says God has a purpose for your business to bring glory to Him and transformation to those you serve.
4) Patience and Perseverance - The best of entrepreneurs realize that great businesses are not grown overnight. Commit to press through the mundane to get to the magnificent!
5) Practice - Perfect practice makes perfect. God is not asking you for perfection, but He is asking for your diligence. Your diligence will lead to your long-term success.
6) Profits - God is excited when His children prosper. He's not a deadbeat or evil IRS agent waiting for His cut. He gets excited when you flourish financially. He just wants to help you steward it properly so it can be sustained.

8) Partnerships - Without God we can do nothing. With Him nothing is impossible. Give the proper credit to whom it is due. Gratitude creates an atmosphere that attracts blessings.
*********************Business ResourcesIt seems like lately I have been increasingly running across articles on the Internet where people are encouraging company employees to quit their jobs. This is intriguing to me considering the U.S. is still in the middle of a "soft" economic recovery with jobs still being very difficult to come by for so many Americans. Is this a bunch of hubris or is there something to what all these people are saying? The latest article I read, entitled Why You Should Quit Your Job Now, advocates that employees rethink their employment perspective by rejecting the notion that your current job is going to last a long time, while at the same time pursuing alternative streams of income. The author calls people who operate like this "entre-employees." People who are in denial about the real state of the modern workforce have an unhealthy W-2 dependency, i.e. they can't see themselves as anything other than an employee who gets a "guaranteed" check every 2 weeks. In essence they have "W-2 Dependency." Unfortunately for them, the typical 9 to 5 has been going the way of the dinosaurs for a long time, and I believe the pace is accelerating. Did you know that temporary employees make up 20% - 30% of the current workforce? And some experts believe that number could increase to as high as 60% within the next 10 years. Corporations are driven to maximize profits by increasing income and decreasing expenses. Guess what the biggest expense is for most corporations? People. So guess where they are constantly looking to reduce their obligations? Temporary employees are much less expensive than full-time employees (mainly because they don't have to pay for their benefits) and much easier to transition in and out of the company based on project-type work. (RELATED: RePurpose My Career: Success Skills for the Entrepreneurial Economy) Position for Your Transition It's not practical or wise for most people to just walk away from their jobs tomorrow. Instead, I encourage you to proactively prepare for your next career opportunity instead of hoping you won't be a corporate casualty. Here are three key aspects of creating an entrance plan into your next career venture:
In future articles I will offer more spiritual and practical advice on how you can continue to break away from W-2 dependency.
