Small Business Challenges
In today's business environment, change is the only thing that's constant. Global pressures are driving corporations to facilitate their supply chain operations much differently today than years ago. Additionally, some corporations are even expanding the focus of their supplier diversity programs to include small and diverse businesses in foreign countries. All of this presents incredible challenges for small businesses who don't understand how supply chains function or how they fit within them.
Big Business Solutions
“Doing Big Biz with Big Biz” equips small businesses to understand the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities of dealing in an ever-changing, global business environment. We teach small businesses how to identify a corporation's specific value drivers, purchasing needs, and performance requirements, so they can competitively position their products and services to provide the most value.
Learning Objectives
Small and minority business owners need to understand that they will only be as successful as their ability to contribute to corporations' operational, financial, and community goals through the value they are able add to supply chain and operations processes. As such, this workshop series will train small businesses how to:
1) Recognize the key components and performance drivers of corporate supply chains.
2) Understand the critical pieces within a request for proposal (RFP) process and how to respond appropriately.
3) Identify how to strategically leverage their business's unique strengths in ways that add value to corporate supply chains.
4) Learn how to effectively communicate their strategic value by tailoring the right message to the right internal audiences.
Benefits to Small Businesses
Small businesses now have a strategic resource they can utilize to profit from corporations’ increasing focus on small and minority owned suppliers. “Doing Big Biz with Big Biz” equips and positions small businesses to add value to one of a corporation’s most vital functions by helping small businesses to improve quality, increase productivity, enhance communication and expand capacity. This will ensure that small businesses are equipped to leverage their strengths, lower costs, and add measurable value to corporations.
